We were initially told by a representative that they grew and processed their own almonds and helped to get almonds to market for other local growers. 'About BTOF': "Welcome! Big Tree Organic Farms is an organic almond company that proudly grows and manufactures almonds and almond products. Based out of Turlock, in the heart of California's Central Valley, we are surrounded by not only many beautiful almond orchards, but all different types of agriculture. [...]". Upon receiving a box declaring the origin to be E.U., I contacted BTOF and was told: "Please note that Big Tree Organic Farms is not a farm[...]" and has been exclusively a processor since 2016. We explicitly chose BTOF so as to source ingredients from as close to our business as possible (one of our business principles). When I brought it to their attention, they defended their practices (despite the outright lie) and offered us a piddling discount of 10% off our next purchase with the code "Patience".
